Weeks 19 and 20

My May has been seriously manic, so running-wise I had a fairly uneventful last few weeks. Here’s my last two weeks of training in one go…


Week 19

Monday – Rest Day

Tuesday – Rest Day

Wednesday – 5.26 miles (6x800m – this really hurt, massive wake up call for my body)

Thursday – 3.2 miles at medium pace with strides at the end

Friday – Rest Day (off to Colchester)

Saturday – Colchester Castle Parkrun (love a bit of parkrun tourism, and while it wasn’t a fast course, this was an extremely friendly parkrun!)

Sunday – Rest Day (acting as support crew for the other half’s 10k, just ran out of time for my run!)

Total miles: 11.56


Week 20

Monday – 7 miles easy (yesterday’s rescheduled run)

Tuesday – 4 miles easy

Wednesday – Rest Day (lots of switching around these last two weeks to accommodate my training!)

Thursday – 0 miles (I have a moving date for my house, it’s in 2 weeks! Training just had to take a back seat to sort all this out)

Friday – 4.44 miles + stretching

Saturday – 0 miles + strength and conditioning (too much to organise for the house today, I feel like I’ve fallen off the running wagon!)

Sunday – 0 miles + stretching (oh no, I’ve picked up a cold from how manic this week has been, fingers crossed it clears up quickly! No long run for me so I can shake it off)

Total miles: 15.44


Well there hasn’t been much running action over the last few weeks, and I’m sure the next few weeks will be quiet too while I sort out my new house! Thanks so much for reading and I’ll be back with an update over the next week or so x
